I hate people who thinks like this. Those theorems and cycles as well as everything else saves up a lot of time when you go to the university. I doubt that anyone would be happy to put off their actual courses in biology/engineering/programming/chemistry/physics etc. so the university can waste time teaching them trigonometry. Same goes for every other subject.
And even more. Most of the people doesn’t know what they want to do with their life till the last minute. The fact that you have had an insight of what history/language/mathematics/chemistry etc. looks like actually helps in career choice.
I have a feeling that people who think like that have no f-ing idea how world works.
If children were more motivated to pursue other courses that went with interests it wouldnt take until last minute in order to figure out what they want to be, they would have a better idea. I agree theorems and cycles are important but everything in that picture should be taught to. The fact that we are treated like children until we turn 18 and then expected to be responsible adults is ridiculous.
